This article provides an ongoing look at the SEO success achieved for Grupo Marcos Marco, a real estate and renovation company based in Benidoleig, Alicante.
The project aims to improve their online visibility, drive more traffic to their website and increase footfall to their branch. This is done through creating new content and improving what already existed.
Initial SEO Status
In March 2023, Grupo Marcos Marco had approximately 800 keywords and phrases ranking on Google. However, this number began to decline in April 2023. The team, dedicated to helping people buy, sell, and renovate homes, found little time to maintain their online presence.
SEO results often take time, typically a minimum of three months to show consistent improvements, and sometimes as long as a year. Therefore, it was not surprising that the decline continued for the first two months of the project.
In April the decline reached its lowest point of 194 keywords before we started to reverse the trend.
The impact of SEO
After four months the number of keywords that Grupo Marcos Marco rank for almost reached a 6 month high. By the sixth month, they surpassed a one year high, appearing on google for over 340 keywords, marking an increase of 10%.
Additionally in September, we saw the highest number of pages in the top 3 and SERP features ever achieved. Although it is always fluctuating, this has included top three results in Sweden and France.

It’s important to note that having more keywords on Google is only valuable if it translates to tangible results. The current SEO efforts have yielded several benefits:
- More Pages in Top 10 and SERP Features: The number of pages appearing in the top 10 search results and SERP features has increased, reaching levels not seen in the past two years.
- Improved Authority Score: The website’s authority score has seen an improvement.
- Increased Website Visits: Up to three times as many visits to the website.
- Higher Branch Footfall: There has been a greater influx of visitors to the physical branch.
- New Customer Discoveries: Customers are finding Grupo Marcos Marco through newly acquired search terms.
